Problems with the Slot Machines? No jackpot?
Few months ago, Illinois Gaming Board put on run an independent research that find out possible defects in slot machines was caused by many chips that was produced by International Game Technology and Bally Gaming and Systems. Those chips probably omitted bookkeeping and progressive play data. They informed that about 57 parts of equipment were exposed to the fault chips.
The Illinois controllers forced IGT and Bally to correct the problem in a month time. There was no choice for Illinois Gaming Board but to power cut nearly 600 machines that could be faulted. Especially, when businesses didn’t keep to the deadline on Monday, until when they were supposed to fix the problem. However it was fixed on Wednesday. Watchdogs from Nevada are inspecting the delays and looking for reason of whole problem.
There is possibility that all chips must be replaced or slot operator should warn casinos that they should fix it by themselves. All this rely on how great the fault is. Scott Scherer from Illinois Gaming Board informed that there could be decision to drop the case and to nothing about this subject.
